Businesses reticent to adopt cloud computing may be held back
Enterprises everywhere that are adopting the cloud are reaping the software's benefits. However, according to Constantly Raising Standards (CRS), some businesses are still reluctant to migrate office servers and store vital data within the cloud, which in turn may be hindering their ability to grow.
"From a logical point of view, it would seem the benefits of cloud services far outweigh the perceived drawbacks " said Dave Phillip, Chief Operating Officer of CRS Technologies.
Accordingly, he also states that there are distinctive advantages to cloud computing that may improve the functionality of key business departments, such as human resources (HR). Adoption of cloud technologies may enable hiring departments to canvas a broader area of the job market. However, companies that are slow to adopt the cloud may one day be forced to play catch-up.
There are several reasons why a business may refuse to adopt cloud technology, though the most common concern may be the security issues surrounding the virtualized platform. However, issues such as this are gaining the attention of security partnerships, and according to Cybermedia India Online Ltd., the Cloud Security Alliance has recently grown stronger with a new chapter opening in Mumbai. The combined effort of this organization may help put security worries about cloud computing to rest.
