VoIP to leverage the cloud
As more businesses continue to move toward virtualized space, more applications will be housed in the cloud. Recently, a telecommunications provider teamed with a software company to bring voice-over-internet protocol to the platform.
The telecommunications provider Global Convergence Solutions recently announced a partnership with software developer EMS Traffic that intends to create a cloud-enabled VoIP program. Such a system can reduce business expenses, as experts say the use of internet communications eliminates the need for companies to pay for extensive landlines. Furthemore, telecommunications powers can be uploaded on-demand in the cloud, creating a more streamlined flow of traffic.
"This partnership is a game changer for wholesale VoIP traders,” said Neal Axelrad, CEO of Global Convergence Solutions.
Experts say the cloud benefit many companies claim was their biggest motivator to make the switch is cost-savings, though the platform can offer much more to businesses that deploy applications in innovative ways. The company claims that enterprise communications will be made simpler by the VoIP system and the cloud can tier information based on critical need.
VoIP can lead to reduced costs as well. According to a recent report by Openmind, mobile users who use the internet communications mode were able to talk longer and for less money. Since the cloud is synonymous with mobile capabilities, it is likely that future platforms will accommodate the software.
