Company’s cloud apps development push a success
Cloud apps are a vital component in cloud computing. As a result, cloud companies have conceived creative ways of developing new cloud apps. One company, Salesforce.com, recently completed a campaign called 30 Apps in 30 Days, which ran throughout November.
The campaign was part of the company's push to develop its employees’ ideas and coding abilities. The last of the new applications, called Chatter RSS, Milestones and SurveyForce, were released at the end of the month. All three of the latest apps are fully customizable.
"We are thrilled to see the continued momentum of the Force.com Labs program," said Kendall Collins, Salesforce.com’s chief marketing officer. "Labs apps continue to help us deliver the innovation brewing inside the company to our thousands of customers."
SaaS and app use are expected to grow significantly in the coming year. According to a recent survey, more than 60 percent of companies expect to increase spending on cloud apps and SaaS solutions. Only half of respondents said they intend to spend more money on computer hardware.
