What You Will Do:
Position Summary:
NaviSite, Inc. is looking for an individual technically skilled in nature and must fully understand the workings of the Oracle E-Business application architecture. Candidate should have experience building, deploying, transitioning and maintaining Oracle environments, and will have primary responsibility for the technical support of live customer environments. Candidate will handle technical issues and will coordinate the development and execution of technical objectives with the Client Care, Hardware, and Networking teams, as well as the Network Operations Center (NOC) Data Center resources. The role is an Applications DBA, and the title is: Oracle Technical Client Manager.
What We Are Looking For:
Ideal candidates will have:
- § Project Management experience, production support or managing technical implementations.
- § Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in an Oracle Applications environment with recent skills in Oracle Applications release 11i.
- § Experience with Oracle Development in an Oracle Applications environment in terms of design and development of Oracle based custom applications, interfaces, reports, and data conversions, is highly desirable.
- § Experience with Oracle Internet Development Suite toolkit, minimally Oracle 6i version or later, which includes forms, reporting, PL/SQL packages/procedures based programming for custom applications, data conversions, and interface development.
- § Must be knowledgeable in underlying Oracle Technology Stack and Oracle Applications database architecture with regard to E-Business Suite module schemas/products, standard (API’s) application program interfaces, data elements, tables, and views as basis for troubleshooting, data conversion, interfaces, reporting and development.
- § Experience with Oracle 9iAS Portal including development of Oracle Portal solutions for organization intranets and extranets. Key skills include creation of custom Oracle Applications (forms, reports, pl/sql, Discoverer queries) and deploying in Oracle Portal environment. Also includes integration non-Oracle applications into Oracle Portal environment.
- § Experience with deploying concurrent processes and custom development in Oracle Applications 11i E-Business Suite with use of System Administration and Application Developer module.
- § Must have some degree of Oracle Applications 11i implementation and upgrade experience in Oracle Applications E-Business Suite consulting role, which encompasses process analysis; process design, mapping, and re-engineering; process/software gap analysis and resolution; troubleshooting and issue resolution; Oracle Applications module configuration and use; and test script creation and testing.
- § Experience in UNIX/Linux/AIX, NT/Win2K, Citrix XP and Networking Fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, FTP, etc).
- § Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills.
- § Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- § DBA experience is preferred.
