What You Will Do:

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager for our Small and Medium Business (SMB) IT Hosting team.  This group markets NaviSite IT Hosting and Application Management services to the

small and medium business market and needs to be attuned to the different needs and price points of this market.

The successful candidate will be a passionate, results-driven marketing manager, where business experience, technical understanding and the ability to effectively communicate, are critical success factors.  Typical responsibilities will include: managing the marketing plan; drafting and managing the creation of marketing collateral; managing and driving community engagement and presence through social media and networking tools; and performing business analysis and marketing effectiveness reporting.  This position will also interface closely with other marketing team members on website and collateral production, marketing programs, demand generation activities, special events and more.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with executive management to develop strategic and tactical marketing plans through market research, competitive analysis, pricing, and interfacing with Sales department and customers
  • Drive and develop material for product launches including press releases, customer presentations, videos, demonstrations, webcasts/Podcasts, and sales training materials
  • Create high quality product positioning and messaging
  • Own and manage product-related marketing materials and resources such as product web content, data sheets, white papers, and customer case studies
  • Collaborate and provide support to Online marketing
  • Drive visibility, interest and demand generation for NaviSite through social media and network presence-using the latest tools, techniques and online events
  • Prioritize and optimize social web campaigns to add to the sales lead flow and organic search engine results
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of social web campaigns
  • Maintain corporate standards and branding guidelines
  • Develop an internal social media policy for NaviSite

What We Are Looking For:

  • Undergraduate degree in Technology/Marketing, MBA a plus
  • Knowledge of IT services and Hosting
  • Understanding of Virtualization/Cloud Computing is preferred
  • Experience (3+ years) in specific marketing to Small and Midsize Business (SMB) market is essential
  • Demonstrable online social network/community engagement expertise
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including presenting and demonstrating technology products to audiences such as customers, analysts, partners, technical peers, non-technical professionals
  • PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Financial/Business analysis and project management skills are a plus
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and quality of work
