Over the last several years, NaviSite has established a large number of new customer relationships. NaviSite participated in the Microsoft Convergence in Orlando FL last week where we showcased our new fully integrated solution for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Exchange Windows Server 2007, and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services. We received a lot of booth traffic from ISV’s and potential clients who were extremely interested in the integration between the applications in a hosted environment. A reoccurring question was to explain how our solution could save their company time and money. We went through the ROI showing them that by NaviSite taking ownership of the infrastructure and application management, it would give them the opportunity for their key resources to focus on their core business and additionally leverage their investment in Microsoft products by utilizing our years of experience with hundreds of clients. Most of the visitors were intrigued by the quick implementation of hosted solutions, interoperability between applications utilizing NaviSite’s virtual platform. Clients could take advantage of the high-availability, anytime-anywhere demands of mission critical applications. It’s also worth noting that a number of clients are still unfamiliar what it actually means to have an application hosted, outsourced, managed, etc… so while we know the market is large today with clients that know they need an outsourced solution, there’s still an unknown, untapped market we need to educate. vThere: A Fine Model Mashup
Sentillion saw a business opportunity, talked to its customers, and mashed up a novel solution to a problem that already had a couple of answers. Most big companies still roll their own desktop deployments via homegrown solutions, ghosting, Windows imaging, or some variation of vendor partnering. Maintaining IP security policy compliance for remote user desktops and field locations can be daunting. Many organizations address user desktop delivery via Citrix or other terminal- or presentation-server solutions. Big back-end investment, mildly tricky networking and performance issues for greedy apps, but thin-client Windows solutions work for a range of low-horsepower environments. Anyway you slice it, crafting, deploying, patching and supporting user desktops is a pain. Read More
