Replicate and Migrate Servers to the Cloud With Azure Site Recovery (ASR)
Navisite is excited to announce the launch of our support for replication of on-premises datacenter infrastructure (physical servers, virtual machines) and more to Microsoft Azure. Our expanded support for Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for on-premises infrastructure rounds out our already robust data protection solutions that include Zerto, VMware and Carbonite’s DoubleTake, and supplements our existing support Azure-to-Azure migrations within ASR.
By adding this additional element of ASR to our product matrix, Navisite provides a Microsoft-native solution for organizations to replicate and migrate their physical servers and VM's (including VMware-virtualized VMs) to the cloud, and significantly reduce costs and inherent lack of flexibility associated with on-premises, hardware-based disaster recovery solutions. This resource, when coupled with our existing replication and recovery tools – Zerto, Carbonite’s DoubleTake and VMware's vCloud Availability (vCAv) – means customers can select from a wide array of options that best suit their business needs and application requirements. Azure Site Recovery replicates VMware and Hyper-V virtualized VMs, as well as Microsoft and Linux bare-metal servers to Azure. Replicating to the cloud in lieu of utilizing a traditional physical or identical environment ensures business continuity, dramatically minimizes the risk of data loss and is billed on a highly-favorable “pay-as-you-consume” model.
ASR provides automated protection with asynchronous, ongoing replication and orderly recovery workloads in Microsoft Azure. Customers will appreciate the simplicity and robustness, while benefiting from some of the key capabilities of ASR such as At-Scale Configuration, Variable Recovery Point Objectives (RPO), best-in-class Security and Encryption, Self-Service Disaster Recovery.
