Replicate and Migrate Servers to the Cloud With Azure Site Recovery (ASR)
Navisite is excited to announce the launch of our support for replication of on-premises datacenter infrastructure (physical servers, virtual machines) and more to Microsoft Azure. Our expanded support for Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for on-premises infrastructure rounds out our already robust data protection solutions that include Zerto, VMware and Carbonite’s DoubleTake, and supplements our existing support Azure-to-Azure migrations within ASR.
By adding this additional element of ASR to our product matrix, Navisite provides a Microsoft-native solution for organizations to replicate and migrate their physical servers and VM’s (including VMware-virtualized VMs) to the cloud, and significantly reduce costs and inherent lack of flexibility associated with on-premises, hardware-based disaster recovery solutions. This resource, when coupled with our existing replication and recovery tools – Zerto, Carbonite’s DoubleTake and VMware’s vCloud Availability (vCAv) – means customers can select from a wide array of options that best suit their business needs and application requirements. Navisite’s solution set includes the ability to meet variable data availability timeframes of differing business units, or short recovery point objectives for mission-critical, high-transition applications.
“The inclusion of Azure Site Recovery (ASR) in our Data Protectionfamily of products, ensures we have a comprehensive replication solution to fit into your disaster recovery plan. Customers seeking to replicate physical servers and/or VM’s to the cloud, now have one tool and one place to look,” Navisite, notes Sumeet Sabharwal, Group Vice President and General Manager for Navisite, “Coupled with our 20+ years of managed services expertise, it gives us a market-leading ability to help customers move to the cloud with confidence, utilizing disaster recovery software that fit each customer’s unique business and application needs.”
Azure Site Recovery replicates VMware and Hyper-V virtualized VMs, as well as Microsoft and Linux bare-metal servers to Azure. Replicating to the cloud in lieu of utilizing a traditional physical or identical environment ensures business continuity, dramatically minimizes the risk of data loss and is billed on a highly-favorable “pay-as-you-consume” model.
ASR provides automated protection with asynchronous, ongoing replication and orderly recovery workloads in Microsoft Azure. Customers will appreciate the simplicity and robustness, while benefiting from some of the key capabilities of ASR such as At-Scale Configuration, Variable Recovery Point Objectives (RPO), best-in-class Security and Encryption, Self-Service Disaster Recovery.
Azure Site Recovery is also increasingly used as a low-cost, high-capability Disaster Recovery strategy for your IT Infrastructure against malicious and ransomware attacks, or it can utilized as part of your general migration strategy to the cloud.
Organizations looking for a solution that enables migration of their existing on-premises virtualized workloads to Azure, find the reduced downtime during critical workload migrations and strong data validation, combined with a low-cost solution to be a winning combination.
Navisite’s managed services, coupled with Azure Site Recovery, make migrating to Azure simple, reliable and quick, ensuring customers can run in the cloud with confidence.
