Navisite’s Virtual CISO Service Achieves Latest Milestone with Stevie Award Win
Exciting news coming out of Navisite this week: Our Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) service was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the “Business Technology – Other” category in The 20th Annual American Business Awards®! This is a prestigious honor that validates all the hard work Navisite has put in over the past year to deliver a service that removes the skills, resource and budget constraints that hold businesses back from building and maintaining a strong security posture.
If you’re not familiar with the American Business Awards, they’re the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. And more than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
vCISO Service: A Milestone Year
We launched our vCISO service in June 2021—and it already has gained significant customer and market momentum. This is because it’s filling a pronounced security leadership gap by providing companies that don’t have the skills, resources or budget to build a strong security program with the on-demand access to cybersecurity leadership, guidance and expertise they need to defend against new and evolving threats and to enhance their security posture.
With Navisite’s vCISO service, companies don’t have to battle the ongoing cybersecurity skills shortage and Great Resignation to try and find qualified security leadership; instead, they can augment their efforts or outsource security entirely to our team of experienced cybersecurity professionals, who are available on an ongoing or as-needed basis.
The number of companies in need of a service like this is higher than you might think. In fact, a recent Navisite survey found that nearly half (45%) of companies don’t employ a CISO. Given this addressable market, we’ve seen enormous traction and interest among both new and existing customers since launching the service. And, today, the vCISO service is the top-requested offering among Navisite’s cybersecurity services.
Here’s what one customer had to say: “Navisite has quickly become a trusted partner for Liaison, and we look forward to strengthening our partnership and capabilities with their vCISO service,” said Jim Pluntze, CFO of Liaison International, a provider of admissions management and marketing software and services for higher education. “Navisite offers a deep bench of cybersecurity experts with the experience and governance we need to support and continually mature our security programs.”
And now, add award-winning to our growing list of vCISO accolades—twice-over, in fact. Our American Business Awards recognition follows on the heels of the service’s January 2022 BIG Innovation Award win, a program organized by the Business Intelligence Group.

We’re committed to continually innovating to align our cybersecurity services with changing customer needs and the evolving threat landscape.
