- Amazon EFS now integrates with AWS Systems Manager to simplify the management of EFS clients. Customers can use Systems Manager to automate the tasks required to install the latest version of the EFS client package on Amazon EC2 instances, allowing IT staff to maintain security and compliance. The integration simplifies management of EFS volumes, increasing management centralization and operational efficiency. Read more here.
- Azure SQL Database Hyperscale is now available, enabling discounts for organizations that elect to reserve compute capacity for a 1- or 3-year term. As resource requirements increase, the capacity for additional resources are already available and at a discount compared to pay-as-you-go pricing. This additional discount focuses on hyperscale database instances where additional compute resources are required with very little forecast, and in very large sums. Learn more here.
- VMware introduced Transit Connect on VMware Cloud on AWS, bringing a number of new networking and security capabilities to VMware Cloud. The new features include SDDC Groups – to organize SDDCs together for easy management; Transit Connect – delivering high-bandwidth, resilient connectivity for SDDCs; and Multi-Edge SDDCs – allowing customers to add network capacity for north-south traffic.
