Weekly Cloud Provider News – AWS Perspective, Azure Cloud Resources, Google Cloud Monitoring, and Oracle E-Business Suite
Each week, we highlight the latest news from the industry’s top cloud providers. This week, Amazon launches AWS Perspective, Microsoft adds new Azure cloud resources, Google Cloud Monitoring goes fleet-wide, and Oracle unveils E-Business Suite 12.2.10.
- Amazon launched AWS Perspective, which helps customers build, customize and share detailed architecture diagrams of workloads from live data in their account. It is a tool within the AWS console that dynamically creates visualizations of AWS infrastructure and resources, and automatically maintains an inventory across multiple AWS accounts and regions. It can also provide cost reports for workloads and resources, with the relevant costs included in the visualizations. Learn more here.
- Microsoft announced the availability of a series of new resources and features that allow customers to take the next step forward in their public cloud journey to Azure while managing through the COVID-19 pandemic. These resources provide IT teams with the necessary tools and expertise to continue their cloud migration while providing reassurance they have enough capacity to perform migrations and have cost governance once workloads are migrated. - Google Cloud Monitoring now provides zero-configuration, out-of-the-box visibility into a customer’s entire compute engine VM fleet. Its infrastructure summary dashboard gives customers a single pane of glass that allows aggregation of fleet-wide statistics at a glance, and they can view the status of and install cloud monitoring agents from the UI, as well as view fleet-wide information across metrics such as CPU, memory, disk and network. - Oracle has made E-Business Suite 12.2.10 available, with many new features and enhancements voted on by customers. It is available as a patch to download from My Oracle Support. The enhancements focus on the continued development of themes introduced in earlier 12.2 releases, including functional innovation, user interface modernization, and increased operational efficiency. It also offers new statutory and regulatory updates and improved stability, performance and security. Read more here.
