Johnson Lambert
Who is Johnson Lambert?
The Challenge
Johnson Lambert was struggling with a Citrix XenDesktop infrastructure that was inconsistent, slow and difficult to manage. On top of these challenges, the firm required enterprise-grade security for its desktops to adhere to the compliance requirements mandated by its financial services clients. Finally, the migration from Johnson Lambert’s current system had to be seamless, since it couldn’t afford any downtime for its distributed workforce.
The Solution
Navisite migrated Johnson Lambert to a secure VPC with Amazon WorkSpaces. Navisite leveraged a full stack of security solutions, including encryption at rest and in transit, endpoint security, Single Sign-On and Two-Factor Authentication. Navisite configured redundant Active Directory servers and authenticated WorkSpaces users through AD Connector. Shared files and folders are served from Windows Server 2016 on EC2. Users can also connect to their secure WorkSpace from anywhere, including Chromebooks, PCs and Zero Clients. Today, Johnson Lambert can confidently guarantee its clients that its has implemented enterprise-grade security to protect it’s sensitive financial information.
Johnson Lambert has benefitted from a WorkSpaces solution that is extremely easy to manage. Working with Navisite, Johnson Lambert can maintain just a few “Golden Images” that contain the necessary applications for each work role. Additionally, the WorkSpaces clients and Chromebooks automatically update, and Zero Clients have no operating system to patch or update whatsoever.
Locating cloud desktops and back-office servers in AWS also makes it easy for Johnson Lambert to leverage more advanced AWS services for analytics, machine learning and big data. Johnson and Lambert can now aggressively pursue data driven decisions faster and more accurately using these additional, powerful AWS services that are now at their fingertips.
