Case Study – Friends Without A Border
Friends Without A Border is a non-profit organization providing free and compassionate healthcare to low-income families and children in Southeast Asia. In 2015, Friends Without A Border opened the Lao Friends Hospital for Children, a pediatric hospital in northern Laos. Within a few years, the hospital had grown and needed to move from a paper-based system to electronic medical records. In late 2019, the hospital made that transition, but given the limited resources in the region, outside expertise was needed to ensure the EMR could be supported from a technical standpoint.
