Self-Service NaviCloud®

Navisite’s Self-service NaviCloud platform helps empower clients to quickly launch new cloud environments and scale cloud resources, such as servers, networks, storage, bandwidth and more. All Self-Service NaviCloud resources are provisioned into one of Navisite’s secure, enterprise-grade data centers in either the US or UK. Self-Service NaviCloud is optimal for select scenarios in which expert Managed Cloud is not required, such as short-term projects and test/dev environments.

Self-Service NaviCloud is built on VMware’s vCloud Director® technology. Clients have the option of managing their self-service cloud environment through either the Navisite-designed Proximity client portal or the native vCloud Director user interface. Additionally, clients have access to VMware APIs to support further system integration.

Key Self-Service NaviCloud Benefits

  • Software Defined Networking (SDN) technology.
  • Access via the Proximity portal, vCloud Director and APIs.
  • Multiple templates for Windows, Red Hat Linux and CentOS.
  • Flexible architectures to support various app configurations and compliance.
  • Integrates with other Navisite Managed Services to support multifaceted needs.

Cloud Onboarding and Migration Services

To better enable clients to migrate their legacy environments to Self-Service NaviCloud with ease, Navisite offers multiple cloud onboarding resources and services...

  • Self-Service Onboarding - built-in to NaviCloud at no additional cost.

  • Managed Cloud Migration - leverage Navisite Professional Services to assess, plan, and execute the complete migration.

Selecting a Hybrid Cloud Strategy

Straight Managed Cloud or Self-Service Cloud are not the only options available. In fact, clients often look to Self-Service Cloud for test/dev, and then transition workloads to Managed Cloud when they are production-ready.

Moreover, while transitioning all legacy workloads to the cloud is often the ultimate goal, initially, leveraging a hybrid approach frequently makes the most sense. An organization may choose to keep a difficult-to-transition workload in a physical data center, for example, while proceeding to transition all other workloads to a cloud environment.
