Much Ado about #VMWorld2018
It’s been awhile since I had the pleasure of attending VMWorld. As a relatively new member of the marketing team at Navisite, I’m excited to be getting out to the 2018 event, representing our company and interacting with our partners at VMware, along with colleagues throughout the industry. I’m definitely also looking forward to geeking out while I’m there, by partaking in some of the technical sessions.
As Navisite’s Senior Product Marketing Manager, charged with conceiving and executing our global product marketing strategy and initiatives, I’m even more excited to be able to help showcase the excellent solutions we offer.
We work with organizations seeking to offload the responsibilities of their data center migrations and management – be it shifting some or all of their applications and infrastructure to the Cloud, implementing a comprehensive disaster recovery plan, or alleviating the burden of on-premises Exchange and Office implementations and management, by pivoting to Managed Office 365.
Navisite has had a long and valued partnership with VMware for more than seventeen years – from utilizing their solution as the basis for our Managed VMware Cloud, along with helping develop vCloud Availability (vCAv) and be one of a select few providers launching this powerful disaster recovery option to market – to marrying their Horizon DaaS platform, to offer our own Managed Navisite DaaS with expanded options.
It’s been particularly interesting to see our progression as a complete managed cloud solution provider capable of elevating mid-market and lower enterprise organizations’ data center experiences, and guide clients on their cloud journey.
I’m lucky to be able to interact daily with some of the most brilliant engineers and architects I’ve encountered in my 20+ years in the tech space, so it’s no surprise to me how companies negotiating their cloud migrations quickly realize how great a resource these folks are – and the business value Navisite’s expertise and solutions provides them – to achieve goals like driving down on-prem costs, and allowing their IT teams to focus on the most business-critical functions.
As a company exhibiting at VMWorld 2018, we’re pleased to showcase the latest iteration of our Managed Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) platform, combining VMware’s powerful Horizon 8.0 solution with strong, additional layered options – from partial to fully-managed scenarios, along with full Desktop-in-the-Cloud, through full integration with Windows 10 and Managed Office 365 – to offer a true enterprise-grade DaaS package.
Navisite DaaS ensures that companies can build virtual desktops that suit their varying business objectives, reduce or eliminate their onsite desktop infrastructure and licensing cost centers, while increasing the cost predictability of their desktop environments.
In the near future Navisite will also be launching a fully-revamped Managed Security and Compliance solution line, to better serve clients seeking to improve or offload their data center infrastructure and application concerns in this critical segment of their IT stack.
