Multi-cloud is the New Cloud: MSFT Ignite Preview
It seems like just yesterday we were gearing up for Microsoft World Partner Conference and now Microsoft Ignite is just around the corner. Taking place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, Ignite will bring together more than 20,000 partners, developers, professionals and tech enthusiasts to talk cloud, IT management, collaboration, advanced security and more. With 1200+ sessions the sheer number of options can be overwhelming but luckily, Microsoft Ignite veteran Scott Ladewig offers some helpful tips in this blog.
Multi-cloud has been a topic of discussion within the cloud industry for some time, but has picked up in popularity over the last year or so. The days of single cloud environments are becoming a thing of the past as businesses begin to realize the benefits that multi-cloud deployments offer (i.e.: more scalability and options, and reduced risks). A study conducted by IDC found that 86 percent of enterprises predict they will need a multi-cloud approach to support their solutions within the next two years. Making the business casefor multi-cloud environments is shifting from “why?” to “why not?”
As more and more businesses migrate to multi-cloud environments we are seeing the demand for managed multi-cloud providersskyrocket. While multi-cloud has its inherent benefits, managing multiple cloud offerings from multiple providers can be a complex undertaking for many organizations. With a managed multi-cloud provider businesses can unlock a wider range of solutions while also getting the experience and expertise to seamlessly migrate and manage their cloud environments.
For the better part of two decades, Navisite and Microsoft have been working together to provide tailored IT solutions for our mutual clients and offering managed services on top of the Azure® cloud platform is a natural evolution of that partnership. Microsoft’s robust Azure cloud platform offers nearly unparalleled, worldwide scalability, but even the best IT teams can get overwhelmed with time-sensitive, tactical management and maintenance tasks. And that’s where we come in. At Ignite, I’ll be previewing news around our new offering supporting our Managed Office 365 Productivity Suite, which will address some of the advanced threat protection and security management challenges that organizations face today in managing their IT environments.
Microsoft always puts on a good show and I’m looking forward to connecting with a passionate community of technology and business leaders to discuss the next generation of innovation shaping the future of IT and enterprise.
